T-Shirt Design Competition

We are getting t-shirts made — and we want your help designing them! We're going with a dark blue or black shirt, practical and sharp, and a lot easier to keep clean than white on a beach vacation. Here's what you need to know:

• Submit your logo design to rgulam@gmail.com — anyone can enter, especially the kids!
• Deadline to submit: September 30th. Once all submissions are in, we'll review and send the winning design for print.
• Rahim will be reaching out soon to collect sizing information from each family.
• Cost will be minimal. Sammy will coordinate payment — each family can send an E-Transfer once the final details are confirmed.

The memories are worth it — we hope to see everyone in their shirt on the beach!

People Attending

We are now at just over 40 people registered — which is incredible. That said, the invite remains wide open. If you are on the fence or haven't booked yet, our message is simple: book your hotel room now and sort out flights after. Even if you can only make it for 5 days, we would love to have you there. Don't let the details stop you.

Flights

Below are the current flight details for the three main departure cities. Please note schedules are subject to change. The resort is approximately 40 minutes from Cancun Airport (CUN), and baggage allowance includes 1 checked bag per person with airport transfer included in the package.

Flying from another city? Please let us know your arrival dates so we can anticipate when everyone will be checking in.

Payment

For those booked on the group package through Lux Holidays / Sheniffa:

• The $250 deposit per person has been paid.
• Deposits are non-refundable and non-changeable.
• Final payment is due September 15, 2026. Sheniffa will send a reminder as the date approaches.
• Any group discounts will be applied and netted into your final payment amount.

Family Dinner — December 22, 2026

We have confirmed a complimentary, kid-friendly, semi-private group buffet dinner at the resort on the evening of December 22. A few things to note:

• The dinner is currently confirmed for 40 guests — we have requested more capacity and will work with the resort on this closer to arrival.
• We have requested written confirmation from the resort to ensure everything goes smoothly.
• We're thinking of coordinating a blue or white dress code to mark the occasion and make for great photos.
• Nerissa and Farin will be helping coordinate the evening to make it a memorable one — stay tuned for details as we get closer.

Every great reunion needs people who keep the energy going — enter the Fun Captains. Their job is simple: make sure everyone around them is having a great time. That means keeping an eye out for anyone on the sidelines, making sure drinks are flowing, encouraging people to join activities, and ensuring the nights have a plan. This also extends to meal times — and especially dinner. Fun Captains will make sure no one is left out, that everyone feels included at the table, and that the conversation is flowing. Sometimes that might even mean pulling up a chair at a different table than usual to spread the love. And yes — bring a portable speaker and a good playlist. The vibes don't manage themselves. Think of them as the unofficial vibe committee.

Every Junior Suite includes a luxury en-suite bathroom with soaking tub and double vanity, climate control, flat-screen TV, in-room safe, and 24/7 all-inclusive minibar.

There are two ways to join us:

Option 1 — All-inclusive package (recommended): Book through our travel agent Sheniffa Velji at Lux Holidays. She can put together a flight + hotel all-inclusive package for you. Packages are available from YVR, YYC, YEG, and YYZ — and she can assist from other cities too. Contact her for pricing.

Option 2 — Book directly: You're welcome to book the hotel directly through the Riu website for the same dates and arrange your own flights independently. Please note that if you go this route, you are entirely on your own for all travel arrangements — but we'll see you at the resort!
